It is Sunday morning at 8:15 am and I just woke up, made my coffee and sat down to the computer. Everyone in my house is still asleep!!!! I am pretty sure in my 20 years of being a mother to early risers I have never experienced a moment like this.
I can’t remember the last time I slept in until 8am and I know for sure Trinity has never slept past 8am so I am guessing this past weekend was as exhausting for them as it was for me.
Here is what happened.
Friday morning after the fair I woke up at 5 am and felt like I had been run over by a truck. There wasn’t one drop of saliva in my mouth because once again I had allowed myself to get dehydrated after cleaning until almost midnight the night before. I went into the kitchen, drank a thing of coconut water and two glasses of regular water. Made my coffee and just kept telling myself “you can get this done, Tiffani. You can do it.” I first started in the garden and planted about 8 plants I hadn’t gotten in the ground yet. I know most buyers don’t care about a few plants, but in my mind the outside of my home is just as important as the inside. I don’t like to see one yellow leaf or bare area before a showing.
I then came in and starting cleaning everything. By 9:30am I was so psycho and acting like such a lunatic that Lou finally got in the car with Tiara and started driving around so I could clean without having mess up every area I cleaned. I am sure he was pretty sick of my yelling and crappy attitude by this point.
I finished cleaning the house just as Patrick showed up. I was filthy, stinky, sweating and completely whacked out! I drove over to my Mother in laws to meet Lou because Tiara was taking a nap on her couch. I walked into her house, plopped in a chair and downed 3 bottles of water while I tried to recoup. A bunch of family were in town from Northern CA so we just sat around talking. Because I was so exhausted I was able to just sit and talk without having to get up and move around, which was nice for once.
Patrick said the showing went great and for some reason I am feeling much better this time around. I don’t know why, but I don’t feel panicked or nervous about the selling process, only stressed about the cleaning.
During this time, Trinity had already left for Yorba Linda in the morning because she had her Musical Theater Camp Performance, in which they learned 50 Broadway tunes in 2 weeks and were performing Friday night and Saturday afternoon. So Friday afternoon after the showing was done I stayed home with Tiara while Lou did the MTA job. He had to drive to Yorba Linda in Friday afternoon traffic pick up the 3 girls at 4pm, take them for dinner and return them to the theater at 5:15 to get ready for the show at 7:30pm. I worked on cooking all the rest of our food for the weekend so we would have everything we needed for our food program.
On a side note, the sugar 100 program is going GREAT! Tiara has lost 6 pounds, Tabitha has lost 9, I lost 4 and Trinity lost 1 even though she didn’t need too. Lou, he hasn’t lost any because he isn’t participating, but I am thinking he is going to join up soon.
Saturday we had open house from 12- 4 so I had to leave the house with Tiara, Trinity and Erin at 11:40am. We dropped Trin off for her ride to MTA and then the three of us did errands until it was time to go to the show. Tiara was kinda freaking out being out of the house all day but she was able to sit through 30 minutes of Trinity’s show without making a peep. Once she started talking, Erin took her back to the car and waited there. The show was amazing and we finally got home at 5:30 and all the family came over for a birthday dinner celebration at 6:00p.m. It was Lou’s cousin’s birthday. Luckily my mother in law did everything and I was only in charge of the chicken and bbqing so it was a breeze for me. Everyone finally left at 9:45 because Tiara refused to go to bed while there was still a party going on. She is always the life of the party, so she can’t sleep while anyone else is in the house.
And that is it. Now we have a free Sunday and I am looking forward to doing nothing except folding laundry, going to a few open houses and finishing this post.
Hope you have a great weekend and Happy Monday!

Totally sounded like a great weekend. Lucky you, I had my older daughter climb in bed with me at 7:30 am on sunday morning. Followed by my little one not even 10 minutes later. So, everyone was pretty much awake by 8 am and I barely had time to breath let alone catch up on blogging. Maybe this too will happen for me someday soon!! Happy Monday, too!! 🙂 xoxo!!
