So Wednesday morning early I heard a knock on the door and when I opened it, there was the water man. He gave me a piece of paper and said the water would be turned off for a half an hour today and from 9:30 until 1:00 I think, on Thursday. I thanked him, shut the door, threw the piece of paper away and never thought about it again, that is, until later that morning.
I went to get in the shower and the water came out with such force I thought it would hurt my skin. I washed my hair but I kept out of the stream of the water unless I needed to rinse, I had a funny feeling about the water pressure and why it was coming out so hard. It seemed really weird. Once I finished up quickly my house keeper came in and asked me why the water in the toilet was so dark? “The water is really dirty! What happened?” I looked in the toilet and the water was a dingy gray. Oh great I just washed my body with that gross water, that should help my rash. Oh well, I never thought about the water again until Thursday morning.
I had big plans on Thursday to get all the laundry done, finish up my gardening, do my post and pretty much get super organized because Trinity had a soccer game at 5:45 and I knew not much would get done after school. At 9:20 I was sitting with TT putting her down for a nap when Tabitha walked in and said “Did you turn off the water, Mom?” Oh crud! I forgot they were turning off the water today. I ran to the bathroom and tried to brush my teeth but I was too late, no little dribbles left so I had to use bottled water.
I then realized how the heck was I going to garden, get all dirty dishes cleaned and then clean myself up without water? I searched for the piece of paper with the times on it but remembered I threw it out. I think it said 1:00 p.m. the water would go back on but I am not sure. At this point I am totally dirty, Tiara is asleep and I can’t do the laundry, the dishes or the gardening! I guess most normal people would have planned accordingly but not me.
Like most everything in my life I just figured ” whatever no water, not a big deal it’s not like a medical emergency or anything.” Well now that I am without water at this very moment it certainly feels like a big deal.
Thought I would include this picture of Tiara sitting on the coffee table glaring at me to give you an indication of her current mood for the past few days. Hair pulling, kicking, throwing and sitting on furniture. She is back with a vengeance!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

We have that water turning black thing about every six months. I think it’s when they are flushing the system. They say it’s harmless but I’m not so sure.

I hate when our modern conveniences don’t work! I hope it’s back on by now. Sorry TT is being aggressive, we’ve been going through that with Bethany too! *sigh*
