I am sure you noticed I haven’t posted since Monday. Nothing amazing, terrible or too terrific has happened this week nor did I accomplish more than usual. I felt more isolated and alienated without all my readers sending me comments but I did have a little more free time. I missed you all more than I enjoyed the extra time!
Last night I found Tiara in the back yard laying in dirty water and leaves. After I got her inside, gave her a shower and got her ready for bed I realized my phone was missing again. Tabitha kept calling it and at first it rang 5 times and then went to voice mail. Next it went straight to voice mail and then it was crackling. I imagined it was lying in a puddle of water someone but I couldn’t find it anywhere. We were all outside looking with flashlights when Trinity saw a rat scurry under the BBQ and onto the fence. They all ran inside screaming and jumped on the furniture as if the rat was chasing them. Louie and I have both seen the rat make its nightly pass along the fence so I wasn’t surprised with the sighting.
Tabitha and Trinity then started fighting about who was more terrified of rats. Tabitha claims she has the greatest phobia of rats, while Trinity yelled she was more scared. I mean really, fighting over who is the most afraid. So ridiculous.
After they all calmed down, I went back outside in search of my phone. I risked my life and stood on the fence the rat had just inhabited to try and look in the neighbors pool. I didn’t see my phone in the bottom but I knew it my heart it must be in their yard because that is where Tiara throws everything when she is mad.
Thursday morning the neighbors called over the fence to Louie. “We found an iphone in the bottom of our pool this morning and assume it is one of yours.” Of course, just like I thought.
Lou actually put the phone in rice as if it could somehow recover after 12 hours in a pool. I have been swamped all day and feeling at a loss without my phone so I am dragging the whole family to the apple store tonight at 7pm after Trinity’s volleyball game to get a new one. We have a showing at 6:15 and already have to be out of the house so I figured if I bribed the girls with dinner out TT might behave in the store. The good news is that if she goes crazy I will most likely get helped quicker. Win/Win. Wish me luck!
Oh, I forgot to mention that Tiara woke up in the middle of the night on Wednesday and kept falling out of the bed. After I got her back in bed twice, she said “throw up, throw up.” I ran and got a towel and managed to catch the throw up before it went everywhere. She finished really quick and then I asked her, “Was that a seizure or are you sick?” She said “seizure” and fell dead asleep. I took her temperature and sure enough it was 96, confirmation it was a seizure. Haven’t seen that seizure in a couple of months and I am hoping it stays away for another few months. UGH!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Hope you do get your new phone and know I would be lost without my iPhone. Seriously, not sure how I lived without it before. And so sorry Tiara had a seizure and sending good thoughts your way that they stay away now! Wishing you a great weekend now, too!!

Happy you’re back. Always love hearing Goff family stories. I especially love Lou’s optimism putting the phone in rice after a night in the pool 🙂

So glad to hear you are OK. I’ve been worried when almost a week went past and I hadn’t seen a post.
Boo about the phone! Damn things!

Sorry about the phone and more sorry about the seizure. Hoping it was just a fluke one!
