What do you buy at Trader Joe’s?

Jun. 21, 2012

I buy almost all of my groceries at Trader Joe’s and I know some of you do the same, but I also know some of you have a hard time finding stuff you think your kids will actually like and eat from Trader Joes’s.  So, I thought I would share my weekly staples and favorites for my friends and readers who can’t seem to find anything but chocolate, wine and flowers in the store.  Hopefully you have a Trader Joe’s in your area.  One of greatest things about Trader’s is nothing in their store has high fructose corn syrup, as far as I know, and the prices are always great.

So lets get started…

Starting my shopping while Trinity takes pictures with my phone.

all my girls drink this juice everyday

everyone likes these granola bars

everyone but Tabitha eats almonds all the time

Tabitha’s favorite mac and cheese

brown rice pasta, everyone will eat this but it is the only type of pasta I eat.

I use this on pasta and mix with milk to make it a pink sauce or use as the sauce on homemade pizza.  I buy the pizza dough in the cold section near the cheese.

turkey meatballs
We all love these, especially me. I hardly ever eat chicken or turkey but when I am craving some meat I eat almost the whole bag. We eat them plain or you can put them in pasta.

I use these all the time. I cook them in butter with garlic salt in a pan for the girls or you can bake them straight from the freezer. Tabitha uses them for her tortilla soup.

Love to coat this fish with panko bread crumbs and fry them up in a pan.  Dip the fish in ketchup mixed with horseradish.  Sounds weird, but is good.

I make a pasta dish every week with this bag of seafood. I have been wanting to give you the recipe but I make it different every week and can’t seem to commit to my favorite way.

These are best. If you feel like you need something fried and a little greasy these will hit the spot without ruing your waistline. We usually eat them on Friday nights as an appetizer before our sushi I pick up from the market.

Use these all the time when I am too lazy to cut up an onion for sauteing. They are great for homemade soup and pasta dishes.

All the girls love these

My favorite veggie patty

I rarely buy store bought cookies but if I do, these are the ones I buy.

favorite crackers of all time

All my girls will eat these. Really easy and pretty healthy side dish.

love this rice, takes 5 minutes to cook in the microwave

Trinity’s favorite snack. I have to limit her to one a day or she would keep eating and eating them all day.

We use this bread to make our panini’s andTabitha insists it be in the house at all times or I am in trouble.

I make this for Lou on the nights he works late and I made something easy for the girls earlier.

These are really good and you can serve them as an appetizer or eat them as a quick dinner.

My favorite dip. I serve it with roasted cauliflower, asparagus and carrots. Beware it is super addicting.

multigrain chips
super yummy and healthy, very grainy

Those are some of my favorites put I couldn’t put a picture of everything since I knew you might die of boredom and it took forever to put up these ones.

Please let me know your favorites if they aren’t on my list.  I love to try new things.

Happy Thursday……

Who is tiffani?

Mom, Wife, author of Loving Tiara, retired home stager, and chronic volunteer. I laugh when I'm happy, nervous, or stressed, so basically, I'm always laughing, and you can hear me from down the block if the windows are open. I love to swear even though it isn't ladylike, and I'm brutally honest, but in a super nice way, or so I think? I tend to roll my eyes, and apparently, my face is very expressive because even when I don't open my mouth, everyone knows what I'm thinking. My hubby and I are homebodies; I'm obsessed with always doing the "right thing " and taking care of my skin. I love learning, am always trying to evolve as a human being, and am a bit of a perfectionist. Let's have some fun! xoxo tiffani
