Monday night I took Trinity and Tiara to Target because I was so tired I had to keep moving or I would collapse. My Mom had given me $100 to buy Tiara some new slippers and a few bras, so I figured it was the perfect time to get this done. Tiara hates to wear bras and shoes even though she desperately needs to wear them both, especially the bras. We found some really cute sequined slipper/moccasin type shoes that TT loved so I bought her a blue and silver pair. We weren’t as lucky with the bras, whatever. Worry about that later.
Tuesday morning I called my Mom to thank her for the money and told her about the 2 pairs of sequined slippers I bought Tiara. That morning I drove over to my friends house and we went for a walk around her neighborhood. Apparently when I was helping Tiara back into the car, she must have lost a shoe. I didn’t notice. As I pulled into my driveway, I received a call from my Mom.
Mom: “Hey, Tiffani, I have Tiara’s new shoe.”
Tiffani: “What you mean, how do you have her new shoe? She is wearing them right now” I looked down at her feet and realized she was only wearing one blue slipper.
Mom: ” I was driving down Tustin Avenue and I saw a blue sequined slipper in the road in front of Rorie’s house and figured it must be Tiara’s. I pulled over and picked it up.”
Tiffani: “Thanks Mom, I can’t believe you saw that.”
Is that funny or what? I still can’t believe she was driving down the same street minutes after me and spotted a shoe I didn’t even know we had lost and she knew it was her grand daughter’s. Love that and living so close to my family.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. Love to you all and thank you for being such loyal readers. This year I am not only thankful for my family, friends and health but FOR MY READERS! Love having readers!

This made me laugh. I can’t tell you how many times we’d get some place and my son would get out the the car barefooted. FYI, there are a lot of places in Central Georgia a child can proceed like normal (Walmart, restaurants, ice cream parlors) without shoes. Glad your mom spotted the shoe.
