So the past few days Tiara has done a few things she hasn’t done since last year. The first I already mentioned yesterday, was our trip to the park on Tuesday. She walked all the way from the car, across the black top and played basketball for 30 minutes. I can’t even remember the last time she did this. I am thinking it was last summer.
I am not sure if I mentioned it but I had my grass all fixed on Monday and as a result there is manure all over my yard. It smells hideous and is a mess but the results are going to be amazing. As a result we can’t play outside at our house, hence the reason I have been taking Tiara and Trinity to the park after school.
Today Tiara and I made our usual trip to Target and I asked her the same question that I do everyday. “Tiara, do you want to walk or go in your wheelchair?” Everyday for the past 6 months she has answered “wheelchair” but today she said “WALK!” Yay, let’s walk.

She literally made it through the whole store and at one point she was pushing the cart really fast. We had a few close behavior calls but we got what we needed along with her token popcorn and diet coke without any lay down strikes. It was a dicey situation but we made it. Along with the increased stamina and energy has come her old behaviors. Think I have already mentioned that, clearly I am not fond of her behaviors returning. UGH.
After Target she fell dead asleep on the ground and slept through her school time. Hmmmm, no surprise there TT. Not always a fan of school.

After she woke up I took her and Trinity to a different park on the other side of town. We had bought her a new bucket and shovel for the summer and she was dying to get to the “sand, sand.” I wasn’t up for the beach so I compromised with a different park. It’s funny, you are never to old for the park. We all had a great time, especially when Trinity and I got opposite of Tiara on the teeter totter and she tried to outdo us.

So the day was a success and yes everyone stared at us at the park but I could care less. I will bring her to the park and sit in the sand with her until she is 35 if she wants.
Have a wonderful day!
