Tuesday night my Dad, Lou, TT and I were all sitting around talking about the difference in my mom and I’s clothing style. Totally weird topic and I don’t remember how it came up, but yes my Dad and were talking clothes, when Tiara suddenly jumped up from the couch and ran into her room.
Minutes later she emerged wearing the hottie tottie cheetah print dress she wore to Tabitha’s 21st birthday. She strode out in front of us and started modeling the dress. She was letting us all know that she has the best style of all. We clapped and cheered and then I said, “Do you want me to get you some new fancy clothes, like the dress you have on?”
“Yes I do, Yes I do.” She was smiling from ear to ear.
Wednesday I went back to the same shop I bought the dress and found a chiffon cheetah shirt, similar to the dress. TT went crazy over it, she was so excited. It is really hard to buy her clothes that fit, are easy to put on and off, are totally machine washable and the hardest part of all making, getting her to like them. Often I bring home clothes and the moment I show them to her she says, “GROSS, NO, HATE”. I have learned that if she says anything negative from the get go she will never wear the shirt, so I return it right away. I end up returning more clothes than she keeps.
Thursday I decided I needed to find a store with more plus size clothes she would enjoy. My Mom always offers to pay for Tiara’s clothes if I can ever find anything she will wear. In the afternoon, Tiara, Erin and I went to Kohl’s in Huntington Beach and hit the clothes jack pot. We found her 5 new shirts and 2 pairs of pants that fit, she loved and looked great. Luckily I had Erin with me because she stopped TT from striping down several times.
When we got home, TT put on a fashion show, but it was hard for her to pose for the camera because she couldn’t pull herself away from the mirror. She is over the moon happy with her new look.
Have a wonderful weekend!
