Not really in the mood to blog but I know so many of you care about Tiara, so here is the update.
Just met with the doctors for rounds and they said her lungs are almost whited out like last March and she is getting sicker. They would like to intubate her now but will give her until the end of shift to she if she improves at all. If she doesn’t improve they will intubate so they can let her lungs heal. They are also watching her kidneys closely hoping they don’t fail her like last year.
I feel as if this is déjà vu. Same doctors, same nurse caring for Tiara today that was watching her when she was intubated last admission, same meds, same X-ray but one different complication. Last time she wasn’t in the midst of an asthma attack. This admission she had been on a continuous drip of albuterol for wheezing and tightness which she doesn’t usually have. Apparently the treatments for asthmatic lungs aren’t the same as for lungs with a viral and bacterial pneumonia. Since she has all 3 going on it complicates the problem. Either way,the whole thing sucks and we are not allowed any visitors. Choc has restricted all visitors except parents until March because the flu season is expected to be wicked. So Trinity is missing me terribly and I won’t be home for a long time. 🙁

Just saw this and my heart is breaking for all of you. Just saying prayers now overtime and hoping that Tiara gets week soon and you get to go home and see Trinity, too. Thinking of you and update us as you can once again.
