Tuesday night I was sitting on the couch watching TV, drinking my wine when I received a text from Patrick, our real estate agent at 10:00 p.m. saying “If you’re awake call me.” I instantly knew it was bad news and called him within seconds.
We had been waiting on a certain issue which I assumed had come back poorly but instead the issue still hadn’t been resolved and the buyers just decided to pull out. What?
Of course I was sad, but I had felt like something wasn’t going well because everything was too quiet around the deal and the waiting was killing the process. I barely slept after I heard the news and was up at 4am Facebooking and checking emails. I finally got out of bed and started making the meals for the day at 5am.
I met with Patrick to talk about the deal and felt like he had done everything in his power to keep it together but sometimes these things happen. I decided to make another trip to TJ Maxx to accessorize the house even more and buy a few new plants for the front entry. Stuff gets broken and trashed here on a daily basis so even though I had the house perfect a month ago that doesn’t mean it is perfect today.
As I was unloading the car from my shopping trip a couple drove up in a very nice car and asked if they could see the house. They were a very sweet older couple looking for a house for their son. You know me, of course I let them in. Shhhh, don’t tell Lou!
I showed them around and they were very interested! I was so excited I called Patrick right away to tell him and he said he was getting lots of calls on our house the moment he re-listed it on the MLS.
So as this moment I am feeling really good that maybe there was a reason they pulled out. Maybe it was meant to be? I am going to assume everything will work itself out and I know Patrick will do everything in his power to make this happen for us.
The downside? I really am not looking forward to keeping the house clean constantly but maybe it will sell in a few days like last time and maybe this time for cash. So keep praying for us and keeping your fingers crossed.

So sorry that the other people pulled out of Escrow, but sounds like you have a great outlook and a wonderful real estate agent. A winning combo if you ask me and will keep me fingers crossed that it will sell quickly again this time out!! 🙂 xoxo!!
I am a true believer in the ” it happened for a reason” mantra. You will be okay. Stay on the positive. You will get a buyer 🙂 xxxxx
Holy cow! I stalked down your listing and it looks like a model home! I bet you have another offer in days!
well … I’m sorry that escrow is not on the table but maybe these new offers will be even better and you’ll end up with great buyers.
Hugs Tiffani!! It’ll happen.
