Tiara and I discover something about the snack bar at Target

Feb. 16, 2013

Happy Saturday.  So this is probably the last time I will be posting on the weekend for a while.  I announced last week that I was going to post 7 days a week, but it is way too much for me.  I need a little break.  Lou said you would all understand and I assume…

A few realities I don’t feel like facing right now…

Feb. 11, 2013

This  past weekend was really long and kinda depressing for a few reasons.  Of course the first 2 reasons center around Tiara, her health and her horrible behavior and the last one is about money.   This is what happened. Two weeks ago the common cold managed to find it’s way into our house again…

Are you jealous?

Jan. 30, 2013

Tiara hasn’t been having as many seizures lately and as a result her speech is improving daily.  Yesterday she learned the word jealous and won’t stop asking everyone “are you jealous?”  It all started when she gave my mother in law a big hug and looked back at me with a sassy smile.  My mother…

Tiara’s stripping has escalated!

Jan. 29, 2013

As I have mentioned before, Tiara is known to whip off her top if she is in the dress section of a store and see’s something fabulous she must try on immediately.  Well, the problem of taking off her clothes has escalated and is now officially considered ” a behavior” that needs to be stopped…

Today, I did the staring for once!

Jan. 25, 2013

Sometimes instead of being irritated that people are always staring at Tiara and I, I try to imagine what they are thinking.  I wrote a post back in June, “Why is everyone always staring at us” and nothing much has changed since then.  Today, I was pulling my car into the handicap spot in front…

We did it, Aetna approved the medication

We did it, Aetna approved the medicine!

Jan. 11, 2013

Good News! After a rather interesting chain of events Aetna decided to approve the 4 pills of Vimpat per day that Tiara needs for her seizures.  Whoa!!!  It appears this blog now has another use, for which I never intended, pressure people to do the right thing!  So the story goes like this. Wednesday morning…

Does Karma really exist?

Jan. 10, 2013

Does Karma really exist and if so what does that say about my life?  Have you ever read one of my posts and wondered “What did Tiffani do in the past to deserve all this crap? Does she have bad karma or what?”  I know you have thought this at least once, I know I…

Aetna has denied Tiara the medication she needs and I’m crazy mad!

Jan. 09, 2013

If you follow me on Facebook you know I was a basket case on Christmas Eve because our health insurance decided Tiara didn’t need 4 pills of Vimpat each day, but only 2, so they denied the pre-authorization and I was unable to get her medicine.   Why even have health insurance?  Vimpat is one…

Welcome to the Goff House…

Jan. 07, 2013

I can’t tell you how great it feels to be home with Tiara.  We finally got released from the hospital on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and when we drove up to the house, I could see from the driveway that something was posted on our front door.   “What the heck is that?”  I thought to…

Who is tiffani?

Mom, Wife, author of Loving Tiara, retired home stager, and chronic volunteer. I laugh when I'm happy, nervous, or stressed, so basically, I'm always laughing, and you can hear me from down the block if the windows are open. I love to swear even though it isn't ladylike, and I'm brutally honest, but in a super nice way, or so I think? I tend to roll my eyes, and apparently, my face is very expressive because even when I don't open my mouth, everyone knows what I'm thinking. My hubby and I are homebodies; I'm obsessed with always doing the "right thing " and taking care of my skin. I love learning, am always trying to evolve as a human being, and am a bit of a perfectionist. Let's have some fun! xoxo tiffani
