Do you allow your kids to play on their phones during dinner?

Jan. 28, 2013

I have spent the past few days thinking about this topic and keep going back and forth in mind trying to decide whether my opinion on this scenario is accurate or I’m just be judgmental.  Help me decide and let me know what you think because I am sure most of you have a strong…

Today, I did the staring for once!

Jan. 25, 2013

Sometimes instead of being irritated that people are always staring at Tiara and I, I try to imagine what they are thinking.  I wrote a post back in June, “Why is everyone always staring at us” and nothing much has changed since then.  Today, I was pulling my car into the handicap spot in front…

Am I really that embarrassing?

Nov. 27, 2012

I think I have mentioned before that Trinity is constantly embarrassed by my presence.  It still shocks me at times and today she really threw me for a loop. When Tiara and I pick her up from school everyday we used to walk onto campus and wait with all the other parents.  I would…

Are you good at “sizing” people up?

Oct. 16, 2012

I am not sure about you, but I kinda have this sixth sense about people’s personality from the moment I meet them.  This isn’t me “judging a book by its cover, but something a little deeper.  I will go out on a limb and say 98% of the time my initial assessment of someone…

Who do you look like?

Sep. 12, 2012

My whole life, everyone has told me I looked like my Dad.  We both had blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin as opposed to my Mom and sister’s big brown eyes and darker complexion.  Funny enough about 7 years ago, I had to start wearing glasses to read and realized I didn’t look…

Have you ever had to rescue someone at the beach?

Aug. 22, 2012

So today a near miracle occurred.  Lou had the day off, and we have a new caretaker who just started, provided by the Regional Center, who is really eager to learn but still very green.  With that in mind, Lou took Trinity to beach volleyball camp, I took Tiara for a walk and then…

What happened to your butt?

Aug. 21, 2012

I hate to admit this but Lou and I have gotten really old, or at least I bodies feel old.  Lou is always complaining about his back and neck hurting, especially after he has spent a few hours alone with Tiara.  As a result, a few months ago, while at Target, I saw some…

I know this is not allowed…

Aug. 07, 2012

So last Friday Trinity, Tiara and I needed to make a Trader Joe’s run before the weekend and we witnessed something very odd and funny during our excursion.  Of course, we are quite the distraction ourselves to all the other shoppers as Trinity pushed Tiara around in her wheelchair, who was listening to her…

Are you jealous?

Jul. 11, 2012

Everyday Louie shares my blog on his Facebook because he is trying to be supportive.  Yesterday he said “I am not sharing your blog today with that big picture of Matthew McConaughey!”  “Wow, are you actually jealous, love?  Perfect I will write about that tomorrow.”  He stomped out and went to the computer and…

I hate your face!

Jul. 06, 2012

I bet you have never heard the expression, “I hate your face,” until today.  Well in our household it is a very common expletive that Tiara yells to different people throughout the day at least 20 times, starting first thing in the morning. When we first heard it we couldn’t help but laugh because…

Who is tiffani?

Mom, Wife, author of Loving Tiara, retired home stager, and chronic volunteer. I laugh when I'm happy, nervous, or stressed, so basically, I'm always laughing, and you can hear me from down the block if the windows are open. I love to swear even though it isn't ladylike, and I'm brutally honest, but in a super nice way, or so I think? I tend to roll my eyes, and apparently, my face is very expressive because even when I don't open my mouth, everyone knows what I'm thinking. My hubby and I are homebodies; I'm obsessed with always doing the "right thing " and taking care of my skin. I love learning, am always trying to evolve as a human being, and am a bit of a perfectionist. Let's have some fun! xoxo tiffani
