Mini-me and I on a mission

Nov. 13, 2012

Ever since Trinity was a toddler people started calling her mini-me.  I guess it is because she has the blondest hair, well natural blonde that is, talks constantly like me, is super bossy like me AND loves projects, thrift store shopping and anything DIY. A few weeks ago I finally got over to see…

A trip down memory lane…

Oct. 31, 2012

I have to say I was rather shocked that yesterday’s post was my 2nd most popular to date.  I woke up in the middle of the night and realized I hadn’t included a picture and was going to get up and add one and thought “how stupid, Tiffani” your readers will be fine without a…

In response to your comment…

Oct. 30, 2012

A reader left me a comment last week that really took me back.  This was the comment: ” I feel so badly for Trinity. She’s been neglected and deprived a healthy emotional state. I’m unable to understand why it’s more important to devote 99% of yourself to a daughter for whom that investment will yield…

Do you think professional family portraits are important?

Oct. 26, 2012

I grew up in a family where taking professional family portraits, was a must.  Almost every year my Mom arranged for us to have our picture taken by a professional.  We would use the picture for our Christmas card and then have a few framed for the walls.  Invariably my Mom would also buy…

Feeling bummed…

Oct. 23, 2012

I think if you have a child who has a hard time socially you can probably understand how I am feeling right now, Left out!  I could care less that my life is not conducive to meeting other families for dinner at a restaurant, or getting together on the weekends after sporting events, or meeting…

ADHD may be the death of me…

Oct. 05, 2012

I never mentioned this before but one of my children has Attention Deficit Disorder and it drives me crazy!  There isn’t a day that goes by that this ADD does not frustrate me in some huge fashion.  I once read “hate the ADD, not the person” and I try to remind myself of this…

If you want to know what she will look like in 20 years, look at her mom…

Oct. 04, 2012

Last night Louie and I were sitting on the couch watching TV and I was complaining about my poochy stomach.   Until recently, I always had a flat stomach, but suddenly my whole body has shifted and if I gain even 1 pound it shows on my belly not on my butt.  My whole life…

Have you ever coned your ears?

Oct. 02, 2012

Ok, by the time you finish reading this post, you will probably be in disbelief, maybe a little queasy and if you are anything like me, you will be on a mission to get your ears coned asap.  So this is the story.  About 6 years ago I was at lunch with a few ladies…

Is this what other people really do on the weekends?

Sep. 28, 2012

As I mentioned last week, Louie and I were going overnight all the way to Fashion Island, approximately 4 miles from our house, to the Marriott to get away alone for a whole night.  After messing around with the Islands Hotel and my Living Social voucher and checking all the other suggestions I received…

Sorry, but if your child isn’t good, they should sit on the bench!

Sep. 25, 2012

I may become very unpopular today but I don’t really care. I was going to write this post last week but I was in such a twitter about the whole subject I decided to calm down and wait so I could discuss my opinion like a reasonable human being.  Here it…

Who is tiffani?

Mom, Wife, author of Loving Tiara, retired home stager, and chronic volunteer. I laugh when I'm happy, nervous, or stressed, so basically, I'm always laughing, and you can hear me from down the block if the windows are open. I love to swear even though it isn't ladylike, and I'm brutally honest, but in a super nice way, or so I think? I tend to roll my eyes, and apparently, my face is very expressive because even when I don't open my mouth, everyone knows what I'm thinking. My hubby and I are homebodies; I'm obsessed with always doing the "right thing " and taking care of my skin. I love learning, am always trying to evolve as a human being, and am a bit of a perfectionist. Let's have some fun! xoxo tiffani
