Today was another good day. She urinated enough that they decided to skip dialysis today and her creatinine was back in the normal range, which is a huge improvement. Hoping and praying they are going to move the dialysis machine out of her room tomorrow and we will never see it again!
She was up most of the night because I was nervous to give her her normal dose of melatonin. The doctors didn’t want her too sedated and as a result I really suffered. I was exhausted today but it’s not like I haven’t felt this way a million times before. Of course, she is back to bossing me around but I love it.
Trinity came by to visit after school and brought 2 books she had checked out of the library. As soon as she got here she sat at the end of the bed and read Tiara the Olivia books she picked out. Very sweet.
I walked out the front doors of the hospital today to show my friend where the valet was and I realized I hadn’t been outside since last Saturday morning at 8am. How crazy it that, 5 days and never once did I venture out. Tomorrow I am going home at 11 am for the entire day and night. Lou’s Mom is going to sit with TT for 3 hours and then Lou is going to stay the rest of the time. I need to pay my bills, send off the taxes and spend some time with my other big girls. So sad that life still goes on even when your kid is sick in the hospital.
And last but not least have you wondered what I do all day when she is sleeping? Well, my friend came to visit the other day and started telling me about the show Downton Abby, of which I had never heard of. I just finished watching the first season on Netflix only discover three more seasons exist and they aren’t on Netflix. I am obsessed, just as she promised I would be. Apparently all the nurses love the show and one told me you could get them on Amazon Prime. I learned today that she was right and I could try Amazon Prime for free for 30 days. Nice!!! So I am dying to finish this so I can start watching Season 2 before TT wakes up from her nap..
Gotta go……

This is great news. And once the patient turns a corner, it’s usually warp speed to wellness – particularly in someone as young and feisty as Tiara.
You’ll be home by the weekend, I imagine. Many congrats. If you don’t get Mother of the Year Award, I really don’t know who would.
Downton Abbey – Yuk! I hate period pieces. But everyone I know who’s watched it loves it. Enjoy!

Bless your heart. Not outside for five days. So glad Tiara is better and you can get a break. Bless her heart, She looks exhausted too. As far as Downton Abbey. Too funny that I gave John the first season (we started watching halfway through season 2) for Christmas and we just got around to watching this week as well. It is addicting no doubt. So glad all is getting better.

Great News Tiffani:))
And I ALSO just discovered Downton Abbey…My daughter and I watched the first season on Netflix, then I went and purchased the 2nd season on DVD at Target for her Easter basket!! $18 and worth every penny! You will love the second season. The trick is, Season 3 isn’t out yet as it just concluded on PBS!!! I’m dying!! We zipped thru season 2 and are hungry for more.
So happy to hear that TT is up and rearing to go! God is good…
