I started feeling a little depressed today as I read all the kind, thoughtful and wonderfully supportive comments people made regarding my posts this week. Everyone was so nice, but boy did my life sound like a nightmare. In writing my posts I really have to revisit how my day went and focus on my life. This is new for me! It appears not thinking about my daily struggles has been a great coping mechanism for me throughout the years. I don’t usually think about what happened yesterday or how will Tiara act tomorrow. I just try to get by each day with a smile on my face and not dwell on my situation. Focusing on the negative has never worked for me, so today I want share some great stuff that happened in the Goff home this week.
Trinity will be double digits (10 years old) on April 5. She recently dropped her Itouch and the screen shattered. It still worked but then it went missing. As a huge surprise, Tabitha my employed 19 year old, decided to buy Trinity a new Itouch for her birthday. She ordered it online and when it arrived two days ago, she was so excited she gave it to Trinity right then. Trinity went so crazy she started shaking and crying. She was over the moon happy and much to Tabitha’s dismay, kept kissing and hugging Tabitha. Those two have a rather turbulent relationship and for some reason are always fighting. Trinity is always trying to get Tabitha’s attention by doing goofy things and then Tabitha gets mad. The fact that Tabitha bought Trinity the gift she has been coveting was so special because it brought them closer together. Sometimes a material gift can really mend fences.
In addition to this, Trinity has been really practicing her violin so she could move to the front row in music class. The front row is where all the best musicians get to play. Her music teacher was really sweet about the snapped bow last week and replaced it for her the same day. On Tuesday she was moved to the front row. Yeah!
Last but not least, I registered Trinity for Junior Lifeguards today and got a spot in the morning session. Another amazing feat.
Off to the kitchen to make homemade pizza and get out my bottle of Chardonnay!
Happy Thursday…

I love the fact she spent her hard earned money on her little sis. Adorable. Writing out the difficult and saddening news is the same as the good stuff. It ALL needs to get out, good or bad, it’s just part of the process. I love reading your stuff, because it’s so honest and real and intimate, and I’ve never met you!!! Bless you and get some more wine!

I’m sure you dont rem’r me from high school but i do rem’r you…..you were a couple yrs older and i just rem’r thinking you were stunningly gorgeous with such a beautiful smile!!! i wanted to thank you today for your blog…i just recently started reading about your “crazy life” and i am amazed at how much you can handle….and you do it with such grace! I very much admire you. We all have our struggles in life ih fact just the other day i was having a little pity party for myself and at that moment is when i first read ur blog about your day at the clinic , and the hair pulling etc. and well ,it took about 1 second and the pity party was over and my attitude completely changed and i wanted to thank you for that. I’m sure you have touched many peoples lives (mine forsure) through your blogs. Thank you for being so candid and transparent in the sharing of your story. You are beyond an incredible mom, and in my book, there is nothing i admire more!!!
