Sorry for my lapse in posting yesterday but I was too grumpy, anxious and irritable to write anything decent. I was feeling very uncreative and not passionate about anything except complaining. I hate when I start complaining. It feels so bad to be so negative.
I kept telling Lou paperwork was getting the best of me. In the past few days I have called the insurance company about Tiara’s medications, filled out the questionnaire for Lou’s physical exam at work so we can save $54 a month. Emailed the teachers about Trinity’s testing and called the school district to discuss the testing process. I tried to fax the final papers for our modification to get submitted but the fax broke and I had to finally learn how to scan and email. They didn’t receive the emailed version so then I had to set up a free account on myfax.com and fax via email. Ohhhhhh, so over it. I know there was more, but I won’t bore you with all the crummy details.
Not to mention I finally emailed Tiara’s doctors to let them know I have changed her medications without their permission. Luckily they we so happy she was doing good, they didn’t mind. I also found out that her medications will cost me over $2500 this month on our new insurance plan, we need to meet a $3000 deductible before they will have a copay, unless I can get them covered on her Cal Optima. I am finally motivated to do the paperwork and follow up to get them covered through the state.
Today I woke up and was still feeling anxious even though the worst of it is behind me, so I decided I had to post. The days I skip tend to make me feel worse, rather than better, as you all know because I have mentioned it before.
Now for the good news. Tiara has been more active so I took her to Fashion Island today to pick up my contact lenses and I DID NOT put her in the wheelchair. We took our time and walked slowly but she did it without plopping or the ground or going on strike. We took a short cut through Bloomingdale’s and once we walked in she seemed rather in awe. “ohhhhh, shopping, shopping, nice.” I realized she hasn’t walked through a nice department store in a very long time and she was so excited to see all pretty stuff. So here are the pics from our adventure today.
Have a wonderful weekend!

You know, when it rains it pours. I am glad that you ladies were able to enjoy some relax time girly style.
Just keep being strong for your little girl, who is gorgeous by the way. Keep smiling and keep pushing forward. God has a plan for people like you. May the rest of your day be filled with blessings and amazing times.

This totally put a smile on my face and I truly know you know Tiara better then anyone else and so glad you have changed her medication, because from the looks and sounds of it this proves it has been quite successful so far and keeping my fingers crossed that it stays this way. Now, I just hope you get them paid for by filing all that paperwork, too. Have a great weekend, Tiffani!! 🙂 xoxo!!

Hey Tiffani, we just spent 2 weeks going back and forth with CalOptima, UCLA and CVS after CalOptima denied covering Amelia’s co-pay (deductible). It took a while, but they finally paid. It was a royal pain, which I believe is part of their strategy, but I wasn’t going to give up on this one! You Go Girl!!!
