She did it!

Sep. 20, 2013

Yesterday Tiara had a ton of dental work done under anesthesia and wasn’t able to eat until the late afternoon and she did it!  I followed my plan of getting her up at 5:30 am and feeding her and doing her meds.  We went for a walk and after that she slept.  I actually had to wake her up at 11:30 to get her dressed to go to CHOC.

She was being so nice and in such a good mood I couldn’t believe it.  She started asking for food at noon but kept her cool until 2:00p.m and which time they should have been wheeling her down to the procedure room BUT as with everything at hospitals they were running late.  At 2:20 she decided she was officially done and started screaming “salad, salad, chicken, chicken” and moving towards the end of the gurney.  I called for hte nurse because I was going to be doomed any minute as she was determined to get off the bed, get in her wheelchair and get the heck out of there.

before the procedure

The nurse came in with a vial of drugs in hand.  She gave her a shot of Versad in her IV and paged the doctor.  The OR nurse came in, I showed her my hands and said “this drug is going to wear off in minutes and if you don’t take her back now  I am going to get really hurt.”  Guess what, they wheeled her back right then.

After

The whole procedure took 2 hours and they found even more cavities than they expected but she is doing good.  She seems to be in some pain but nothing horrible.

Hope everyone has  a great weekend!

    Oh Tiffani,
When things go so smoothly like that, how can we not believe in MIRACLES. God was seeing you guys through for sure, and I’m so happy it went that well. Love the happy pictures of you guys, both smiling so big together. It fills me with love as I start my day! I hope your week-end is just as smooth, I’m praying for that.

Tiffany, question for you. I know you love salads. Do you have a favorite Balsalmic Vinegar you like? If you could share the brand and where you get it, I’d really appreciate it. It’s so hard to find one that’s not too bitter and they’re so expensive, I hate to keep throwing them away.

P.S. I love your recipes. Keeps them coming!! 🙂

I’m not really picky about my balsamic but maybe because the one I buy from Trader Joe’s is really good? I also like the one from Costco. Costco has great balsamic and olive oil.

Who is tiffani?

Mom, Wife, author of Loving Tiara, retired home stager, and chronic volunteer. I laugh when I'm happy, nervous, or stressed, so basically, I'm always laughing, and you can hear me from down the block if the windows are open. I love to swear even though it isn't ladylike, and I'm brutally honest, but in a super nice way, or so I think? I tend to roll my eyes, and apparently, my face is very expressive because even when I don't open my mouth, everyone knows what I'm thinking. My hubby and I are homebodies; I'm obsessed with always doing the "right thing " and taking care of my skin. I love learning, am always trying to evolve as a human being, and am a bit of a perfectionist. Let's have some fun! xoxo tiffani
