So what did you do this weekend?
Hmmmm, Well let’s see….
Friday Lou had the day off and I retouched all the walls and ceilings while he took Trinity and Tiara to the beach. I finally took a shower at 5pm just in time for our Friday night Yard House happy hour with TT.
Saturday I woke up early and continued cleaning every inch of the house for the open house at noon. Trin was off playing with her cousin, Lou was working so Tiara and I left in the car with her caretaker for a few hours. First we had an amazingly gourmet lunch at Chick-A-Fil and I didn’t even get an cookie, such a mistake. Then I went to 2 open houses while they sat in the air conditioned car. I realized a neighborhood I potentially liked was no longer an option as all the homes are built on raised foundations which means a few stairs to get in and out of the house which means a constant falling threat for Tiara. Another neighborhood off our list. We then dropped Erin at her car as she needed to go home but Tiara and I still had 2 hours until the open house was over. OMG!
We then went over to my parents to hang out but they weren’t home so Tiara was irritated. She immediately tripped on my Mom’s ceramic door stop and broke it. After cleaning up that mess, I decided we better leave before she broke anything else. We then drove and drove and drove until 4pm. She kept complaining she had a dirty diaper and wanted to go home, home, home. Finally it was 4pm and as I pulled up to our house, I saw 3 people walking in the front door.
Ohhhhhh….
I was happy that we had someone looking at the house but irritated all at the same time. I just wanted to go home!
We finally got home and just vegged out the rest of the night. I mean that is after Tiara escaped across the street for the 4th day in a row. We secured her normal escape rout but she figured out how to get out of the other side, so this morning Lou fixed that one too.
As for Lou’s coins, I DID NOT sell them on Friday. I realized he was too emotionally attached to them even though I don’t totally understand it, there was no point in upsetting him.
As for the furniture in the garage I only have 1 piece left to sell, so I am super happy about that and my garage is the cleanest it has been in years. In addition I have to say I met the nicest people from Craig’s list this weekend. The woman who bought two of my pieces was a pediatric nurse who works the night shift for “the little man” who apparently has a movie made about him which shows on HBO. Planning on looking it up tonight.
The second couple lost their daughter last September and I am guessing she was really young. This nearly broke my heart as the woman’s eyes instantly teared up when she told me. Another reality check for me as I constantly clean and worry about our home. Life could be so much worse. How I got this information in a span of 5 minutes, I have no idea, but either way don’t be afraid of selling to strangers because I met some really great people this weekend.
And finally, let me ask you, what the heck is this? Trin and I were sitting on the patio this morning eating breakfast when I looked over and saw this. I thought it was a crayon sticking up from the rocks but on closer inspection I realized it was growing out of the rocks. It is the most phallic, disgusting, living thing I have ever seen. What is it? I am guessing some weird fungi but I have no idea and no time to research it.
Hope you had a more interesting weekend than me!

Every time, I have sold I Craigslist, I have met very nice, down to earth people, too. I know it gets a bad rap at times, but seriously Craigslist isn’t as bad as many make it out to be. Glad you got a ton sold and sounded like a pretty good weekend!! 🙂 xoxo!!

get rid of the penis plant!! the house will never sell. hahaha
Hope everything goes well and you get a good buyer. Raising kids is hard work. Wish I could go back to my childhood and Saturday cartoons. Then again my life can be constant slap stick. 🙂 have a great day Lady:)

Craig’s List definitely has good and honest people selling and buying. We were on vacation last week visiting my kids in St Louis. We found tickets to a Cardinal baseball game on Craig’s List. We met the man with the tickets just outside the ballpark. My husband mistakenly gave him an extra 100 dollar bill. The man immediately told him that was too much and handed the money back to him. Good people!

As soon as I saw the picture I new it was a stinkhorn mushroom. My best guess is Lysurus mokusin, The Lantern Stinkhorn.
