So here is the picture of my nephew’s red and blue rocket ship cake. He gave me explicit instructions as to the colors, flavors and theme and this is what I came up with. Apparently it was really good because there was only 13 people at the party and the whole cake was gone before I left.
And yes, I had a piece along with some ice cream even though I am still on my no sugar/ no carb diet. I certainly didn’t want to be a downer at the party!
I have to say I love the internet for things like researching a cake design. My original idea was to put an empty paper towel roll coming out of the center of a round cake and somehow widen it and make it look like a rocket ship.
Before I started the cake I googled rocket ship cakes and I found super simple directions that required me to only make a rectangle sheet cake and make two cuts.
On another note, the wheel chair still hasn’t arrived, I lowered the price on our house and I am getting my hair done on Friday. Planning on returning to my original color, BLONDE, super excited!
