Ok, People I have spent way to much time hunched over the yearbooks and discussing where to set up the beer pong table for our reunion but everything is almost done. Yes, I said it, we are having a beer pong table and a few more surprises. SHHH. I have no idea how to play, so I guess Tabitha, my 19 year old, will have to give me a few pointers before next week. Now all we need are the people. And just so you know, this party is going to be so much fun that people who aren’t even in our graduating class want to attend.
How funny is it that Stevie and I are planning it? Of course Becky is in the background with the checkbook and helping behind the scenes but the 2 bossy bears are leading the way. I care about how everything looks and Stevie cares about how much everyone will drink. We are both super bossy and pretend not to be, a good combo, I think. Either way, it is probably going to go down in history as one of the most fun reunions ever because of how simple we are doing it. Eat, drink, talk, dance and play. No boring sit down dinner, no cocktail dress, no tie, no suit, no gross stuffed chicken and green salad. It’s all about the pizza, beer, and music and for those who don’t drink, you can have your way with all the free soda you can drink.
As for the live entertainment, The Drunken Sailors will be jamming at Original Pizza, II. Worth Houghton, who graduated in 1986, as seen in the picture below is the lead singer of the band. As you can tell from this pic, Worth was and still is an awesome showman and his band is incredible. During their break, the infamous Critens, featuring our own Nick Scalzo, Sean Elliot and Curt Swisher will be playing a set. Can’t wait to see that guys, I hear you’ve practicing? I hope so! I am sure you are cursing me right now Nick as you read this. Some things never change.
And do you know what was my favorite part of today? I got to go behind the bar at Original Pizza, II to take the picture above. I don’t think I have ever been behind a bar, I loved it. Of course I have danced on top of many bars in college, but I felt some serious party power behind such a throne. So excited!!!

p.s. Sorry to all my non Newport Harbor 1987 Readers, as I am sure this is super boring, but the reunion is my top priority right now and I am having a blast promoting it. Give me a week and then my posts will return to my usual violence, seizures, truthful moments and drama……Ugh
