Not much to write about, except this….

Jul. 26, 2013

I was going to skip my post today because I just wasn’t feeling inspired to write about anything.  I thought about telling you how Trinity and I went to the beach by ourselves on Wednesday afternoon only to be greeted by freezing water and cold winds.  I had previously promised a big swimming adventure and was freaking out when I felt the water.

Of course she wouldn’t let me take back my promise so I had to go in and dunk my head.  It took me about 15 minutes because I waited until most of my body was numb and then I finally dove under a wave.  Once I did that she said, “OK, let’s get it out, I’m cold!”  You know it is cold in the ocean when your 11 year doesn’t want to stay in a swim after 15 minutes.  We then built some sand castles and collected sand crabs.

I was then contemplating telling you about the cake I am making for my nephew on Sunday.  I make my niece and nephew’s a special dessert for each of their birthdays.  I called my nephew to get his order last night and he requested a confetti cake with a red and blue rocket on the top with a number 11 drawn in.  Hmmmm.  Haven’t decided yet if I am just going to draw the rocket on top of a sheet cake or construct one coming out of the cake.  I still need to complete more research but I like the idea of it taking off from the center.  Will take a picture for you.

And finally I decided to write this post when I found Tiara sitting at the back porch table eating humus out of the container.  She had all the crackers everywhere and the ipad was covered in hummus.  As I cleaned the ipad crevices with toothpicks and q-tips I realized she was missing.  I went in search of my destructo child and found her sitting on my bathroom floor spreading a combination of my eye cream, face lighting cream and sunscreen all over her legs.  Needless to say I just screamed and freaked out because no one one messes with my face products!

How gross is that?

And last but no least I thought about telling you how I am horrible at checking emails.  I have 3 different email accounts and my oldest one has over 30,000 emails I haven’t dealt with.  It is usually just ads so I briefly flip through it maybe once a day.  Today I was looking and found an Evite reminder.  What, an Evite?  Obviously I had never seen the invitation until today, 3 days before the party, loser alert, but I responded right away.  I then looked at my other account with 17,000 emails and sighed.  I keep promising myself I will take the time to delete them and move on but I just can’t seem to find the time or energy for such a boring task.  My last account is in better shape as it only has a few 100 emails I haven’t deleted.  Do you have this same problem?

Anyways, hope you all have a great weekend!

xoxo tiffani

Have a great weekend and you made me thankful that my kids haven’t gotten into my makeup just yet, but have a feeling that day is coming, because both are fascinated by it!! xoxo 🙂

Gotta love the “LIFEPROOF” on the iPad! Wouldn’t it be nice if everything was lifeproof?!

Hey. I had a thought about the cake. If you are like me and keep things like empty paper towel rolls, you could make a pretty cool rocket out of it. 🙂

That was one of my thoughts! Think I am going to try that, seems pretty easy….

For all the things you didn’t write your post on, I just love the pics of you and Trinity at the beach. I loved the black and white and I also like building sandcastles, too.

Never dull for you. I remember how surprised I was how cold the Pacific Ocean was compared to the Atlantic. I am with you — I’m not a big cold water swim fan. Though once you are in and moving around, it’s actually pretty invigorating. Hope you are having restful weekend.

I abandoned my yahoo account because I couldn’t deal with the 10,000 e-mail backlog. Went to GMail.

Who is tiffani?

Mom, Wife, author of Loving Tiara, retired home stager, and chronic volunteer. I laugh when I'm happy, nervous, or stressed, so basically, I'm always laughing, and you can hear me from down the block if the windows are open. I love to swear even though it isn't ladylike, and I'm brutally honest, but in a super nice way, or so I think? I tend to roll my eyes, and apparently, my face is very expressive because even when I don't open my mouth, everyone knows what I'm thinking. My hubby and I are homebodies; I'm obsessed with always doing the "right thing " and taking care of my skin. I love learning, am always trying to evolve as a human being, and am a bit of a perfectionist. Let's have some fun! xoxo tiffani
