Another great day on the Tiara front. After a few large diapers the Renal team decided she didn’t need anymore dialysis. Yay, so happy! She has yet to eat but has been drinking everything in sight. They reduced her oxygen to 3 liters and put her on the nasal cannula which it the last step before room air.
I am planning on being home by Monday, but if luck is on our side it could be sooner. She will be moved out of the ICU tomorrow and most likely moved to the 2nd floor or to what I kindly refer to as the dungeon.
On a funny note I forgot to mention the present Tabitha brought home for me last Friday night after Trinity’s birthday party. She was driving down the street with her friends and saw this bench out by someone’s trash. She stopped and moved everything around in her car and made her friends double buckle so she could bring it home to me. The bench is hideous and in horrible shape but I was laughing so hard that she has become a trash picker like me. I have been known to do this exact same thing and sometimes the trash works out great but other times I get it home and realize the trash is not a treasure but actually junk.
After I told her it was a really sweet gesture but I had no use for the bench I assumed someone would put it out by the trash. Today when I got home, there was the hideous red bench still sitting on my front lawn. A week later and still no one had moved it. Guess when I am away not much gets done. Oh well, looking forward to coming home soon.
Oh I forgot to tell you something. When Tiara woke up this morning she looked at me and said ” I did it!” My response: “Yes TT, you did it once again, baby! We are going home soon.”
Have a great weekend!

Wow, our lives seem somewhat parallel at this time. So grateful that Tiara is off dialysis. Does dialysis make her seizures worse? We think Brenna may have had one during dialysis. We’ll see if it happens again.
Hope you are holding up in the ICU. Hard place to be and i know you have been there longer and more often than any of us. Praying for you and Tiara, Tiffani! Hang in there super mom! <3

Seriously, TT kills me! “I did it”, she is classic! I knew yesterday when she was acting feisty again that things were looking up. Glad she got to get rid or that oxygen mask. Very happy you got to get out of the hospital, get some sun on your skin and hang with Trinity. xoxoRorie
