Every time I have tried to talk on my phone for the past 2 days all the call fail in the middle of my conversation. Super frustrating. I call them back and then the same thing happens over again.
I was having issues with it earlier in the month and I made an appointment at the Genius bar and then it started working again so I cancelled my appointment. I literally arrived at the Apple store, checked in and was waiting at the genius bar when I realized it was working.
I guess I could use my house phone since I am almost always home but guess what? I don’t have a cordless anymore and the only phone in the house is attached to the wall in Trinity’s room. It is for Tiara emergency situations.
Years ago I went through so many cordless phones, I finally stopped buying them. Tiara would throw them, drop them, lose them and constantly take them off the charger so when I could find them, they were always dead. I have a message on our home machine that says ” Thanks for calling the Goff’s. Please be advised we don’t answer this phone and hardly ever check the messages, so if you need to reach us please call us on our cell phones at:….”
Sadly, months ago we changed from At&t to At&t Uverse and the last time I tried to check my messages I couldn’t. So truth be told I haven’t checked our home messages in over 4 months and I am not sure I ever will at this point.
Tiara, Trinity and I rolled into the Apple store at 4:30 for our 4:40 appointment with Tiara in the wheelchair singing her lungs out to a song on her iPad. Not surprisingly, we were helped right away by a really great guy named Drew. I had just restored my phone at home to try and fix it myself but he suggested we restore it again to its original settings and then push my contacts from icloud so if there was software issues I wasn’t just putting reloading it back onto my phone. That is after he removed the rocked that was lodged in the docking area of my phone. He thought it was pretty funny, as did I.
While we were waiting for it to restore we talked about Tiara’s propensity for destroying headphones, electronics and everything in her path. He showed me this website called Monoprice.com where they sell headphones for 2.67$ and tons of other stuff. Truly a miracle. Gotta love the Apple Genius bar employees!
In conclusion I was totally freaked out because I just got a new phone 60 days ago as of yesterday and I thought there was only a 60 day warranty but Drew informed me it was a 90 day warranty. Phew! So he told me to see if the problem was fixed and if not, I could get another new phone. I seriously love the whole Apple/Mac lifestyle. I have to say once you make the switch it is nearly impossible to go back to the cheaper/virus filled world of the other computer systems.

You know this is truly why I love Apple too and you are right why you go Apple/Mac, you really never go back (at least this holds true for me, too). xoxo 🙂

Tiff,
Just to make you feel a little better, I’m on my 3rd iPhone in 3 months. The most recent mishap: I put the phone on the top of my car with all my other stuff. My case was same color as my car. And, yes, I drove away with the phone on the top of my car. Had just replaced my phone the week before and nothing was backed up. I make your situation look like a dream, right?
Hope I made you smile,
xoxo Marcy
