We had the TS Alliance Southern California picnic on Sunday and it was tons of fun. So much so that I was too tired to write my post for Monday. So here is the weekend update.
Saturday we had an open house from 2 to 5 and when I got home, I flopped down on the couch. Tiara ran outside to jump on the trampoline and Trinity stuck her face in an ipad. Suddenly it dawned on me I had to make the sandwiches for the picnic the next day. I had gone to Costco earlier that morning to buy the little dinner rolls fresh and ended up buying 12 dozen, thereby requiring me to make 144 sandwiches. Hmmmm, I started contemplating making them in the morning but realized that would probably stress me out too much. So up I got and schlepped myself into the kitchen.
I started pulling out all the stuff when Tabitha and Jessica walked into the room.
tab: “Mom, what are you doing?”
me: “Getting ready to make all the sandwiches for tomorrow.”
tab: ” Were you planning on making them all by yourself?”
me: “Of course, do you see anyone else around here?”
tab: ” Seriously Mom, what is wrong with you?”
She looked at Jessica and then dove into work, helping me make all the sandwiches. Trinity hates to be left out, so she started helping too. The four of us had an assembly line system working and were done in less than an hour.
Saturday was help Mom day because earlier in the day Jessica folded laundry while Tabitha helped me clean for the open house.
I was really lagging earlier in the day and Tabitha noticed so she just started helping me clean. A shear miracle! Boy was I grateful for of hers and Jessica’s help on Saturday.
So back to the picnic, it was tons of fun seeing our old TS friends and meeting new families. Lou was able to come and help this year which was nice since hasn’t been able to attend the past few years. Erin, Tiara’s caretaker met us at the park and Tiara stayed 2 hours and 15 minutes which was really good for her. At that point Lou took her home and I am guessing they both napped even though he claims he only closed his eyes for 5 minutes.
Hope everyone had a great weekend and here are a few pictures from the day.

Wow. Looks like you had a beautiful day Tiffani. And making all those sandwiches by yourself. Why don’t we ever think to ask for help????? So glad the girls helped you. That was so great that they jumped in. Glad all your hard work paid off and the picnic was a success. Hug.

I know it was so nice that they offered to help! My problem is Tabitha is hardly around, but when she is, she realizes I am overworked and usually offers a hand. xoxo

Looks like the picnic was a great hit! Tell the girls that I think they’re great for seeing that you needed help without needing to be told! I’m so impressed that you all pulled it off without a hitch together!
