Yes, I took Tuesday off which is super random for me, but I was off looking at homes until late in the afternoon and ran out of time. I have given myself a pass during this house ordeal. If I can’t get my post done, I won’t stress or beat myself up over it. I will just pick up where I left off once I have the time. Easier said than done!
Once I returned home from my house tours, I was back on Tiara poop patrol, dinner duty and making sure Trinity and her friend were all situated for her sleepover.
The great news is that I surprised Trinity with a new TV and DVD player when she arrived home from camp for making honor roll the last semester. We had bribed her with the TV but once she got the grades we didn’t rush out to fulfill our end of the bargain because we are moving. We told her we would give her the new TV once we moved to our new place. She was very nice about it and didn’t complain at all.
Once she left for camp I realized it wasn’t fair to make her wait so I called AT&T and arranged for the installation. Of course I was missing her so much that was working in her favor. Tiara and I found a really cute 19inch flat screen at Target for $109 but it wasn’t a smart TV. Once I got home and told Lou he said I had to buy her the Smart DVD player since Trinity is our techie child. A smart TV or DVD player picks up your wireless internet connection so you can stream Netflix and other apps directly. We are rather addicted to this feature, especially because Tiara can watch Hannah Montana 24 hours a day on Netflix.
I then told my Mom about the surprise and she said, ” I promised to buy her the television, I already said I would pay for it!”
Me: “Oh, I forgot. Cool, then I can buy the DVD player.” Gotta love Grandparents that spoil their grandchildren!
So we got it all set up and when she came in from camp she ran straight to her room to see if we had put a TV in there. I had mentioned I had a surprise for her in one of my letters and clearly I am predictable because she knew exactly what I had done. She was so excited I have barely seen for the past few days. Which is exactly why Lou and I don’t let our girls have televisions in their rooms until they are at least 11. We actually like to spend time with our kids but once they hit puberty we have no problem letting them spend more time in their rooms. I know, how rude are we? We like the approach but they still like them to watch TV with us at night as a family, if at all possible.
Anyways, some exciting stuff is happening on our end in searching for a home. With the help of several readers/friends we have found some good rental potentials and possibly a great house to buy. Super stressed with all the changes but really excited for the future.
Have a great day!

I am thinking of you with the house search and what a great surprise for Trinity. You are right about giving yourself and pass on blogging, when you are just too busy right now and you know we will be here when you return!! 🙂 xoxo!!
