Feeling uninspired, tired and a little grumpy so I was considering taking the day off from blogging. Of course here I am writing about taking the day off because I know if I don’t post some of you worry about me. So I thought I better give you a short and sweet post.
Today Tiara has an appointment at UCLA for her neurology check up. Tomorrow I have a doctors appointment to figure out why my joints are aching and Wednesday Trinity has an appointment after school with another doctor. So it looks like my week will be full of doctors and Auction preparations.
Every year I work on the Fall benefit at Trinity’s school. In the past I wrapped every basket for the silent auction but now we do almost all of our auction online so my wrapping job has disappeared. As a result this year I am in charge of decorating for the event.
We are required to give 30 volunteer hours per school year and I like to finish them up right away so I always work on the benefit, plus you know I love to decorate. So Thursday we are meeting to taste the food and figure out the decorating. I am feeling a little overwhelmed with everything this year. When Tiara was little I managed to plan parties, volunteer for charity, and do tons of other things. Now a days I feel so exhausted I can barely do much more than straighten my house and watch Tiara. I told Lou this morning, “It’s like she has finally broken me. I don’t have any energy left to do anything but take care of her and Trinity.”
lou: “That’s just the way she likes it.”
I forgot to tell you this funny story:
Last Friday I woke up feeling more blah than usual and Lou was in the kitchen making our coffee. I don’t remember exactly what happened but it ended up with me bleeding, a torn tank top and me feelings defeated. When I walked into the kitchen I declared ” I HATE MY LIFE!”
What did Lou say back to me?
lou: ” I love you and I love my life. Just think of all the amazing things you have done in your life. I bet if there was a Guinness book of world record for cleaning up the most poop you would win! I mean you are a professional poop cleaner! You tackle each job with such intensity and finesse you could teach a class on the subject.”
Needless to say I started laughing after I punched him in the arm. Even though I tell him all the time he isn’t funny, that was pretty funny. So I guess the lesson is to keep laughing when nothing else works.

Loved that last line and think we all have our moments. Trust me with 2 girls 16 months apart, we have more then our fair share of crazy times here, but so have to remember your words here when they are whining or fighting over something for umpteenth time!! Wishing you a great week and hoping that isn’t too stressful now!! 🙂 xoxo!!

Dearest Tiff,
Maybe as Tiara has gotten older, and moving into adult size, the work-load (and poop) have gotten bigger and even more time and energy consuming. That means you need MORE time to take care of yourself. Which I know seems to be contradictory. If there is more work, there will be less time for YOU. But pleeeeeeeese, don’t forget to go to pilates and eat cookies lol (you have said that really makes you feel good). And make sure there is something planned that YOU can look forward to. As I am saying this, I am talking to myself as well.
You are such a bright and beautiful light in this world. I don’t want to see your sparkle fade. Some real Tiffani-Time is in order. Get it scheduled soon!!!
xoxo

My husband and I always say if we didn’t laugh, we’d be crying all the time! We have to find the humor in situations because without it, our lives really are just too sad.
Maybe you are trying to do too much. As hard as it was for me to do, when Bethany got sick I told my church to never expect or ask me to volunteer for anything ever again. And I haven’t. I’m not saying give up all the extra activities that you love. But giving up just the ones that add to your stress might help!

You do so much, it’s no wonder that sometimes you feel uninspired, tired and a little grumpy.
I was wondering if you have ever had your thyroid/ parathyroid glands checked? (Sorry not trying to be nosy !!) Achy joints and tiredness could mean a problem with your parathyroid glands. Thyroid problems can cause all kinds of havoc. When your parathyroid gland (you have 4) is bad somehow it pulls calcium out of your bones and causes achy joints. They can diagnose this with a simple blood test. Hope all of the appts go well.

I have thyroid issues, so maybe my numbers are off. Thanks for the help, went to the doctors today and had a bunch of labs done. xoxo tiffani
