I have so many things to update you on but let’s start with what’s on my mind this exact minute. It’s the book I am currently reading, “Carry on, Warrior the power of embracing your messy beautiful life” by Glennon Melton. I received this book as a gift for Mother’s Day from one of my readers, Kasey. I know, so super sweet!
When I read the back cover I had a moment of jealousy as I learned the writer was a Mom blogger, speaker and author of this New York Times bestselling book. “Oh, great another blogger who has managed to write a successful book, unlike myself.” I have fleeting moments of jealously all the time. They enter my brain as quickly as they leave but they still exist. This book is hilarious and so totally real I am sure most people can’t believe the stuff that comes out of her mouth. Kinda like myself. Her journey is very different from mine but we both seem to go through life coping in similar ways. If you are a regular reader, I think you would really love this book.
Now, when I have I had time to read this book you ask? Well this week has been all about selling our home and nothing else so I have been reading when I’m not cleaning, straightening, making beds or driving Tiara around the neighborhood for the 14th time as people walk through our home. Our wonderful agent, Patrick Sweeney, listed the house on Monday and was busy showing the house everyday this week. I am super hopeful I will be reporting some good news soon, because I really want to be done with this process. Please pray for us, I am so done with all of this. Time to move on.
We had a realtor preview on Friday and a 4 hour open house on Saturday which was the last straw for Tiara. By time I skidded into our driveway on Saturday afternoon, I was missing a handful hair and the Costa Mesa police had been called as Tiara attacked me in the car at the St. Joachim parking lot while I attempted to pick up Trinity from her school fair. I am not going to go into details but I left the parking lot without waiting for their arrival as I was trying to avoid embarrassing Trinity in front of the entire carnival and got us home safely. After rescuing me from Tiara, my mother in law went back to the school to collect Trinity, who never noticed that everyone was watching the scene unfold in the parking lot. Thank goodness!
When Trinity got home she told me something that really made me smile through my bucket of tears.
her: ” Mom, some of my friends were working the carnival to get their community service hours. A few of them only have 3 hours and they need 10. Sally (fake name) said her Mom didn’t care about the community service hours and said it was ok if she got a bad grade on that as long as she got straight A’s in everything else. I told her, My Mom is the exact opposite. She would be so on me if I didn’t do my hours. She cares more about the hours than my grades. Right Mom? You would be really mad wouldn’t you?”
me: “Yes honey I would.”
her: “I know, community service is super important.”
I loved this! My baby at 12 has already learned one of the most important lessons in life. Being a good person and giving to others is more important than obtaining a high GPA. Of course many of you may disagree, but in our home where almost everyone has some type of learning disability, we value other things besides grades.
And last but not least, why is the title of my blog post today ” I was meant to do this?” Because I read this weekend this phrase is equated to when Joan of Arc went into battle to protect France from being taken over by the English.. I don’t know if this is true because I couldn’t verify this fact, but I thought it was really interesting because this is how I feel about my life and Joan of Arc was the Patron saint I choose to write about when I made my First Communion in second grade. Very cool.
Oh and one more thing. I haven’t given you an update on my Jusuru and Scaler Silver progress. I am still taking the Jusuru and I think it has probably saved my joints from aching more than usual while I have endured so much physical labor. I stopped taking the Silver orally because I think it was too many changes at once but per Sara’s suggestion I soaked a cotton ball in the Silver and covered my warts with it. Well, within a day I noticed a huge difference in the size of my warts. They drastically deceased in size and if I could stop washing my hands a zillion times a day, and keep the cotton ball on under a band-aid, I know they would already be gone. So as of now, I am loving both products and am giving them a thumbs up. The best part about the products are Sara and how much she cares. If she reads in my blog I am having allergies, she sends me a link to another product that may help. She is full of ideas and is always willing to help with any medical stuff. You can find her phone number at the top of this page.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and please pray my house sells this week!

Tiffani, I too wash my hands a zillion times a day dealing with my daughter. I often say I wash my hands more than a doctor. Do your hands get really dry and what do you put on them if anything? I can’t keep lotion on my hands because it seems like after I put it on I have to wash my hands again and it gets washed off. My hands are really flaky and dry from washing them so much.
