I don’t even know what I have done today and it is already 3:00pm. I haven’t gotten anything done on my blog, the house is not really clean, I did walk and yes, as always I am tired. I am so tired, I feel rather bored with my life. So I was pondering what to write about today and decided since I am so bored with my life, you would probably be too. I then realized all my friends have really fun lives and I wish I could write about them, but I would never do that. I try to be one of those people you can have a conversation with and not worry I am going to repeat everything you told me, let alone spread it across the internet. Guess I wouldn’t have any more friends, they might just magically disappear, quickly.
I then wanted to give you a new recipe but I have been a total flake in the cooking department. When I put out a recipe, it is actually something I made myself and take the pictures of the food I am serving. Well, the cooking situation has gotten so pathetic around here lately that I forgot to make my hubby breakfast today. Before Lou started his new job, I cooked dinner Sunday through Thursday with Taco Tuesday as an option. Well, lately Tabitha hasn’t come home to eat with us, Lou hasn’t been getting home from work until 11:30 at night, I know, seriously crazy. So I have been making the kids frozen stuff from Trader Joe’s and salads, totally lazy. Apparently Lou came home starving last night at 11:30 and there were no left overs.
This morning he sweetly reminded me “if you aren’t going to make dinner, honey, please text me so I can grab some food before I get home. I came home starving last night and there was some weird veggie pot stickers in the fridge.” “Oh, sorry, babe, can I make your eggs for you before you go to work? I asked. “Yes please, that would be great.” And so I planned on making the eggs that exact moment and got distracted doing something else. Shhh, I think I was checking my blog and all of the sudden he walks out ready to leave for work and I have totally forgotten the eggs and now it is too late. I jumped up from the computer and said “Oh, I forgot, I am so sorry, I will hurry and make them!” “No, it’s fine, I don’t have time now.” Trinity then said, “Hey, Dad, why don’t you just pick up some eggs at McDonald’s on your way to work.” “No, thanks, Trin.” He was actually smiling and laughing at me a little because he loves it when I screw up because I pretty much try and do everything right all the time, and apparently it can be annoying.
Either way I have already gone to the market, oh, I forgot I did that too, and will have a steak dinner ready for him tonight because he will be home early today. I’ll be eating salmon. Yeah, missing my sweet husband and excited to see him. Also, super excited for him to see our kids and play with them, so I can have a break.
Happy Thursday and if you have a kiddo doing the Monster Mile today, good luck!!!

Hi Tiffani! I am right there with you when it comes to cooking. Nobody is ever around or hungry at the same time, especially during summer break. My hubby does the same thing (works late sometimes, etc.). I don’t remember the last time I cooked!! I am thinking about it for tonight… Have a great day! And I got my walk in this morning too. Stacie xo

Too funny Tiffani! I am going thru the exact thing with cooking, juggling etc. My kids are going back to school next Thursday, so i need to start getting my act together (starting with dinner each night!). Have a great day and I hope your daughter does well in the Miracle Mile today!
