The kids normally have a big themed birthday party with lots of kids on the weekend. The party is always their gift. We let our children choose a really nice party, with lots of friends, which means lots of gifts, or one really nice gift. They always choose the party. I always make the cake, which I think is better, but one year Tabitha was like ” really, mom could you just buy an ice cream cake like everyone else’s mom!” “Fine.” This year for her 19th birthday I bought 2 gross mint chip ice cream cakes. Can you believe I still had to do a party for her 19th? She was really insistent, because she always has a party….. Maybe my tradition isn’t such a great idea after all, I still may be planning their 25th birthday’s.
Today is Trinity’s 10 birthday. She has decided instead of her normal big party she wants to go to Disneyland with one friend and spend the night at the Disneyland Hotel. So today, we will be at Disneyland all day!
I think I got off pretty easy this year….
