Pink Prade Purse!!!!

Growing up in my family, I learned there were certain things you must have, must do and must not do.

  • Always make your bed,
  • never leave a glass on a wood piece of furniture,
  • pick up the lints on the carpet before you go to school
  • always have art on the walls,
  • always send a Christmas card,
  • travel as much as possible,
  • take a shower everyday,
  • never wear chipped nail polish,
  • it is better to overdress than under dress,
  • always send a thank you note,
  • don’t be late, be early,
  • always look nice when your husband comes home from work, and
  • carry a nice purse , preferably designer.

And the list goes on….   I actually think these were really great lessons my mom instilled in us, but unfortunately I am not able to follow most of them, most of the time.  I always send a Christmas card, I usually take a shower, and my walls are full of art and  because my mom and dad are so generous, I always carry a nice purse.  When I was first married I could never afford to buy myself an expensive designer bag and now if I could, I probably wouldn’t.   So every Easter my Mom and Dad would buy me a new purse.   I used to go with them and pick it out, but as time went on I started to think it was ridiculous for them to spend so much money on a silly purse, and I started refusing.  My mom then had to buy me one on her own and surprise me because she hates when I carry around a Target bag.  I won’t lie, once I get used to the purse and forget about how much it costs, I love it.  We finally came to an agreement in recent years because she was tired of  me complaining about the cost when, she was giving me a gift and I could’t receive it very graciously.

We came to a truce, that if they buy me a Coach bag at the outlet store in Lake Arrowhead, I won’t try and return it, won’t complain about the cost and will accept it gracefully as long they spent less than $200 on it.  Everyone has been happy with this deal, especially my Dad, who pays for all the bags.  As you can imagine, I completely trash pretty much every purse I own, which is why I hate anyone spending so much on a bag.  I can’t be bothered with hanging it on a chair or keeping it on my lap.  My purse is abused on a daily basis.  I leave it on the concrete, the basketball court, the hospital floor, the floor of my dirty car, and so many other gross places.

But guess what, my Mom and Dad just returned from a trip to Turkey and Italy and with them they brought back this fabulous pink Prada purse.  I have to admit, I love it and it is my first and most likely my last Prada.   It goes against all my rules, but I absolutely can’t return it to Italy and it so looks like me, I am thrilled.   I immediately threw all my junk into it before I even left my Mom’s house today.  Sad but true, but a great designer purse can really make a girl happy! !!!

Thanks Mom and Dad….

p.s. Tabitha put together the picture for me, I am not that talented with an iPhone ….

Chantelle said it perfectly! It’s a token of your parent’s love and respect for a child they, no doubt, are extremely proud of….
I wouldn’t do it for myself either but it is sure nice when others do it for us 🙂
And it is beyond cute (from Italy – jaja), you couldn’t have picked it better yourself.
    Enjoy it beautiful lady!

Who is tiffani?

Mom, Wife, author of Loving Tiara, retired home stager, and chronic volunteer. I laugh when I'm happy, nervous, or stressed, so basically, I'm always laughing, and you can hear me from down the block if the windows are open. I love to swear even though it isn't ladylike, and I'm brutally honest, but in a super nice way, or so I think? I tend to roll my eyes, and apparently, my face is very expressive because even when I don't open my mouth, everyone knows what I'm thinking. My hubby and I are homebodies; I'm obsessed with always doing the "right thing " and taking care of my skin. I love learning, am always trying to evolve as a human being, and am a bit of a perfectionist. Let's have some fun! xoxo tiffani
