Everyday Louie shares my blog on his Facebook because he is trying to be supportive. Yesterday he said “I am not sharing your blog today with that big picture of Matthew McConaughey!” “Wow, are you actually jealous, love? Perfect I will write about that tomorrow.” He stomped out and went to the computer and a few seconds later I heard a bling on my phone and much to my surprise it was a notification that Lou Goff shared my link. I yelled from the other room, “I guess you changed your mind?” “Yes, because I am not jealous and you know it.”
The funny thing is that neither of us is very jealous. I am actually so not jealous that sometimes Lou wishes I was more worried about the countless women that are always throwing themselves at him at the dealership. I mean you wouldn’t believe the crazy stuff women say to him or try to show him, just to get a good deal on a car. Most are looking for a good deal but others are just trying to steal my husband because he is cute and nice and they are hoping for a hook up, even though he is very married.
My favorite story happened about 3 years ago. These women were in the dealership buying a car and I am pretty sure Lou had sold one of the women a a car in the past so he kinda knew them. The younger one kept flirting with Lou and wouldn’t back down. Of course she was wearing some super slutty outfit with her chest hanging out of her top, a really short tight mini skirt and stiletto heels. He described the whole outfit to me in detail. Ohhh, I love how tacky some women can be, I mean who wears that to walk around a car dealership? Apparently lots of women!
She was rather relentless in her flirting until she realized she wasn’t making any progress with my hubby, so she just asked him on a date. Seriously, woman, get your own man. Funny enough, Lou has had to deal with woman flirting before and he has developed a perfect response that doesn’t offend the customer and yet is very clear. His response usually goes something like this: ” Well, I would love to, I just need to call my wife and ask her if it is OK?” He reaches for his phone and the woman usually starts proclaiming, ” NO, NO, DON’T ASK YOUR WIFE.” “Oh, well if my wife is fine with me going on a date with you I can go, but I definitely need to run it by her.” How funny is that?
At that point, the woman usually gets the hint but isn’t totally humiliated because Louie always makes the comment in a really cute flirty way so the girl doesn’t feel like a total loser. Well this woman reacted the same as all the others and finally left him alone and drove off in her new Mercedes-Benz without my husband. I mean the fact is they are buying a car, thereby paying for our life, so he can’t be really rude and insult the customers even if they are totally out of line. Apparently most people believe car salesmen were born without morals, but in regards to my hubby and lots of people he works with, that is so far from the truth.
Have a great day and remember if you are in the market for a new or used Mercedes-Benz, my faithful husband can help. He can be reached at (714) 865-8877
Don’t you love the plug?

I do love the plug! Coming from the car business myself, a plug here & there can be helpful not only for you but for people that love to have a “friend” in the car business. Purchasing a car can be stressful, something we won’t have to experience. As for todays blog…..so unfortunate but true. You’re husband has found a way to decline with class. Which just might be a bit confusing to some of these women.

You must be talking about Fletcher Jones in Newport??? Haha…I use to work there many, many moons ago and my x-husband just quit after working there 27+ years. I can totally believe it. Some women will do ANYTHING to get a good deal on a car and maybe a date out of it. My favorite is when this stripper girl came in for service and she had a bunch of adult toys in her back seat. I don’t want to get into detail becuase I’m not sure if your kids read your blog or not but I’m sure you can only imagine what she was offering. Lou is very lucky that you don’t get jealous and you just laugh about it. I know some wifes that ….well just aren’t that cool about it.

How funny, no he wasn’t working at Fletcher Jones in Newport Beach. He just started working for the Fletcher Jones Company 2 weeks ago and he is going to be the New Cars Sales Director at the new store in Ontario. Apparently, what he has experienced happens at every dealership… HAHA
