So my room is done and I really like it. The weird thing is that all my previous accessories still look good, so no need to buy anything new. I really wanted to add a white funky Ikea light fixture but that would require an electrician so I am going to pass for now. I went to Ikea today and researched how I could install one myself and decided to drop the issue. Way to much for my brain at this point. The last thing I need to do is get electrocuted before Christmas.
Plus, I am dragging today as I am totally exhausted. Tiara decided to get up at 2am again and Lou and I took turns keeping an eye on her. I guess we (he)didn’t do a great job because at 6:30am I bolted awake when I heard her walk back into our room. That’s right she had been wandering the house while both of us were asleep. As she came into the room she said “bad cold outside, bad cold.” What? I looked at Lou and said “do you think she went outside?
him: “She feels cold, she may have.”
I jumped up and ran into the family room and sure enough the sliding glass door was wide open. The humus and carrots were out, the pantry was open and nuts were all over the floor. Oh and there was humus on the new couch. It has already been Tiara-ized. Good morning to me!
Wow, what a bunch of loser parents. Looks like we need to get a special lock on the sliding glass door now pronto.
As for the giveaway, I am glad to report one of my long time readers, Terry, won. The rafflecopter computer system chooses the winner so I have nothing to do with the outcome, so I love when it is someone who has been reading my blog for a while. Congratulations Terry!
As for Christmas, I have all the presents bought, made and delivered all the baked goods for Lou’s work and now I just need to buy my food for Christmas day. I am going to cook a turkey overnight in the oven and then set up a turkey sandwich bar for Christmas day. I cooked a turkey over night after Thanksgiving and it was awesome. I put in in a roasting pan, covered it with foil, seasoned with herbs, and lemon and cooked it on 200 degrees for 12 hours. It fell off the bone.
Hope everyone has a great weekend, I am off to fold the laundry piled on my couch. Thought you might get a laugh out of that picture. Some things never change!

I love what you did with the room and glad you are fussing with the electricity right before Christmas. Best to get that lock when you can and I so would have bolted out of bed, too. But the two of you are tired and can only imagine. I have been a bit under the weather myself and seriously can’t even imagine what you two do daily with Tiara. My heart always goes out to you. Thinking of you and also want to wish you a very, Merry Christmas!! 🙂 xoxo!!

looks great! What color gray did you use. I have pewter vase (behr) in my living room. I know it’s boring to some people, but I like the way it looks with my really dark floors and white( decorator white) baseboard 🙂
oh and laundry is always such a great look around the house 🙂 🙂 xoxo

If you can believe it, I have no idea the name of the paint color. I never read the names. I will go check the can and get back to you… Xo

The turkey overnight sounds like a winner. And I love that chandelier. And bless your heart about trying to stay up with Tiara. John and I are so exhausted most nights we would be falling asleep too. love
