A trip down memory lane…

Oct. 31, 2012

I have to say I was rather shocked that yesterday’s post was my 2nd most popular to date.  I woke up in the middle of the night and realized I hadn’t included a picture and was going to get up and add one and thought “how stupid, Tiffani” your readers will be fine without a picture.  So I went back to bed and thought “well if no one visits because I don’t have a photo, I now know, I always have to include one.”  I only forgot a photo because I was trying to figure out how to splice together several videos of the girls dancing together and completely lost track of time and was never able to figure it out, so I gave up.

Either way, I never imagined so many of my readers would be so passionate about that one woman’s comment to me.  After reading everyone’s responses I was feeling really loved and realized that 95% of you get our family and I was getting the whole picture across.

So thank you to everyone for all your sweet, passionate, loving, kind, and sensitive comments!  I felt like I had received hugs from over 300 people.

I was really immersed in reading all the comments today and realized at 4:30 pm I hadn’t written a post.  Trinity and I started going through the photo albums and snapping pictures of every Halloween for the past 19 years.  I always take pictures of old photos with my Iphone but today I decided to use the Ipad.  Not a good idea.  The pictures came out really fuzzy.  I let Tiara use my Ipad and she has dropped it more times than I can count.  It has gone totally blank on 2 different occasions and didn’t respond for over 6 hours, so I am guessing it has suffered a brain injury from all the falls.  Oh well, it still works and makes her happy.

Either way here are the pictures we found.  I was missing a few years and I know they are somewhere, but I was in a time crunch and still had to make dinner, clean up and carve pumpkins before bed.

Louie and I used to always dress up with Tabi. I usually still do, since I love costumes!

I thought this picture was so fun, I sent it for our Christmas card in 1996. No one seemed to enjoy my humor! Ha Ha

This was taken 3 days after Tiara was born, so Tabi was carving with her grandma. 1997

Tiara’s second Halloween, and clearly she isn’t liking the huge lion head! 1998

Remember when we used to walk around Fashion Island before trick or treating? I used to love that!

Ok, that took forever to load all those photos, so I am hoping you aren’t bored to tears.  Happy Halloween!

Be safe and have fun with your family!!!!

Well if yesterday’s post didn’t get the point across-and it did-these pictures sure tell a lovely story.

I loved your post from Oct. 30 and if it didn’t get the point across, those who didn’t get it are clueless. The story about your family was so heart-warming and made me realize how special you all really are! You are an amazing mom, Tiffani!

Who is tiffani?

Mom, Wife, author of Loving Tiara, retired home stager, and chronic volunteer. I laugh when I'm happy, nervous, or stressed, so basically, I'm always laughing, and you can hear me from down the block if the windows are open. I love to swear even though it isn't ladylike, and I'm brutally honest, but in a super nice way, or so I think? I tend to roll my eyes, and apparently, my face is very expressive because even when I don't open my mouth, everyone knows what I'm thinking. My hubby and I are homebodies; I'm obsessed with always doing the "right thing " and taking care of my skin. I love learning, am always trying to evolve as a human being, and am a bit of a perfectionist. Let's have some fun! xoxo tiffani
