7 day suspension from adding friends on Facebook!!!!

Apr. 22, 2012

me starring at my computer, not happy

Ok, I have never received a detention or suspension in my whole life as a student and guess what?  Today, when I woke up and logged onto Facebook to put up my morning status, a notice was waiting for me.  Facebook informed that I was on a 7 day suspension from adding new friends.  Is this a joke?  Apparently, I had been reported for misconduct.  I am so laughing right now, because anyone who knows me, knows that I always follow the rules.  Because when I don’t I always get caught and I learned by the time I was a teenager that I was not able to break rules without getting busted.  The first time I ever went into a bar as a minor, police happen to do a walk through that night and started checking id’s.  Guess who got a minor in possession ticket?  Me.  This is the story of my life, so I really try not to break rules.

The great news is that Lou was in heaven.  Oh my gosh, he was so happy I got in trouble, he thought it was hilarious.  He actually thought Facebook cut me off totally for 7 days, and it made his day.   He is going to tease me for the rest of my life about this.  You see, as one of my friends told me this week, I can be a little rigid in my moral code.  I really try to live a certain way and I expect everyone around me to do the same thing and that can be difficult for my friends and family.  So now the whole world knows, I  violated Facebook protocol.

I did a little research, and it appears this happens often when you add lots of friends in a short period of time.  It appears I am not the only violator in town.  It is very obvious I have added a bunch of friends in the past 2 months, in an effort to get my blog out there, but I have never added a friend who I don’t have friends in common with.  Facebook claims one can be disciplined for ” using a fake name, violence, pornography, and a few other things, none of which apply to me.  I don’t have some crazy profile pick up with boobs and naked people, just a standard mom in a garden.  Really?  So I am not sure if someone actually reported me to Facebook, like they claim or Facebook just likes to be controlling.  Either way, I am annoyed.  If I ask to be your friend and you don’t want to “be friend” me click “ignore”.  Who cares?  I will not take it personally, I have bigger things to worry about.

The best part is, I am super bugged and when that happens, I like to take action.  But apparently there is no action for me to take except to live with my suspension and take it “like a man”.  I so hate this!!!

Oh well, here is to a peaceful Sunday…

Who is tiffani?

Mom, Wife, author of Loving Tiara, retired home stager, and chronic volunteer. I laugh when I'm happy, nervous, or stressed, so basically, I'm always laughing, and you can hear me from down the block if the windows are open. I love to swear even though it isn't ladylike, and I'm brutally honest, but in a super nice way, or so I think? I tend to roll my eyes, and apparently, my face is very expressive because even when I don't open my mouth, everyone knows what I'm thinking. My hubby and I are homebodies; I'm obsessed with always doing the "right thing " and taking care of my skin. I love learning, am always trying to evolve as a human being, and am a bit of a perfectionist. Let's have some fun! xoxo tiffani
